I have a back seat in my XJ that will hold a child seat if you want to throw him in there.... Maybe let the girls drive mine or something.  Just an option.

That sounds like a good idea, besides the part where you "throw him in there" hahahaha

Make sure to get some good pics for those of us that have to work next weekend.  I'm probably out (wheelin wise)  for a few months yet till I get some more mods done.

Anyone giving odds on me damaging my gas tank? Still no skid under it.

And I WILL remember to take lots of pictures this time.

idk the odds of you damaging that. I know I don't stand any chance of getting my gas tank skid in place before then, and I'm not too too concerned about it.

in other news, I FINALLY did the rear shock mounts and "new" rear shocks on my truck today. ended up finding my set of xj 4.5" rear shocks, which measure 25" extended, and 15.25" compressed. so, I set them to allow 3" of up-travel into the bumpstops (this is where the bumpstops set :D), and 6.75" of down-travel on each side. this will keep the wheels out of the inner wheel well. I tac-welded the mounts, then 89eliminator's dad was good enough to finish weld them for me since my welder is not up to snuff :D (thanks Wade and your dad)

then finally extended the upper control arms to put the pinion angle correctly, grounded my CB antenna (it doesn't ground well through aluminum toolbox), and mounted the badlands whip to the front bumper too.

alignment tomorrow, skid plates on the front and t-case (hopefully gas tank too), and rear bumper mounted. then I'm good to go.

Their talking about maybe 1-2" of rain before this weekend. Not good, don't feel like slogging thru mud all day. We'll see...

So who hates Nipsco?!?!  We have been in our new house for 4 months now, paying our gas bills on time and in full.  We get this months and it is literally 4 times as much as our most expensive month thus far.  Call them and they say that they have been miss reading our meter and just discovered it.  So now we have to come up with that money on time or a late fee!!!!  I therefor have no money to go this weekend...  evileye   Kinda nice how they screw up, and you have no option but to pay all at once.

Back on topic though, can no longer afford to go this weekend.  Sorry guys, outta my hands at this point.  hmm

skid-plated on the front and t-case now, with the truck aligned. install rear bumper tomorrow, gas tank skid (if I get time to clean it up and paint it), and bleed brakes.

ready to go far as I'm concerned :rock on:

I'm guessing the orange trail is out then, as I don't think I can make some of the up hills in muck. Don't even know how much fun the quarry will be if it is raining Saturday, as traction on wet rocks is limited.

Any clue if the creek is still driveable, or will the water be too high?
