RE: What is the best lift kit for the money?

My advice from going through it right now I went cheap with shocks that came with the kit(FABTECH), BAD IDEA!! now I have to replace the shocks so if I would have gone with the upgraded shocks I wouldnt be shopping for new, it will save you in the long run

First off you don't want an AAL kit. What you save now you'll be spending more a year down the road. An AAL is adding height by using a higher spring-rated leaf to compensate for the additional height that you're trying to achieve. This means that the added leaf has to be much stiffer in order to lift the vehicle. You are asking this one leaf (per side) to not only lift and support the vehicle but it also has to deal with the resistance of the less curved stock spring pack. This often leads to many issues down the road, typically a very saggy factory pack after awhile. If it's just a temp. fix for awhile you might be fine, but with trying to get 4.5" of lift out of an AAL in my opinion your just asking for issues.

Also RE kits are priced much better as a kit than individual peices. Lets take for example the RE 4.5 SuperFlex XJ lift.

These are the part numbers that come with that kit. I've taken the MSRP prices of each item and put them out to the side.

RE1141 ~ GEN2 DISCONNECTS 2"-3.5" TJ, - $150
RE1310 ~ COIL SPRINGS XJ 4.5"/PAIR - $175
RE1380 ~ BUMPSTOPS 2" FRONT LOWER - $33 (x2)
RE1463 ~ LEAF SPRING XJ 3.5" W/BUSHING - $175 (x2)
RE1515 ~ BRAKE LINE SS REAR 18" - $42
RE1550 ~ BRAKE LINE SET SS FRONT 22" - $83
RE1600 ~ TRACK BAR, FRONT XJ/MJ/ZJ/TJ - $165
RE2120 ~ T-CASE LOWERING KIT XJ/ZJ 3/4" - $22
RE2421 ~ U-BOLT KIT M35 REAR, YJ / XJ 2 - $40
RE2700 ~ SHACKLE XJ REAR 5" - $98
RE3700 ~ CONTROL ARM SF2 LOWER FIXED - $210
RE3781 ~ CONTROL ARM SR2 UPPER FRONT FI - $275

If my math is correct, the total comes out to $1676. We have the kit priced at $1169; a savings of $507.

We also offer FREE SHOCKS with all RE lift kits (a value of $190) and FREE SHIPPING. So your really saving like $900 with going with a kit. I don't know how that's not saving some green...

At 4.5" of lift, everything included with the above kit really is needed to do it correct. We're able to swap some things around with RE kits (for instance going with a 3.5" lift, swapping in a 4.5" front coil and adding a rear shackle) that may be able to get your price down a bit. Best thing is to give us a call (260.224.6098) and let us know what you want and we'll be able to get you an exact price on it.

Let us know if we can be of any further help.

I was reading some of the links I got from the first page and I must ahave missed the part about shocks comming in the kit so I just figured that they were sold seperate. I will give you a call but man that $1,100 pricetag still looks like more than I want to spend and I still have to buy tires....lol.
I will call later on this week and we can chat then but THANK YOU ALL for your input and helping me with my decision. MUCH APPRICIATED!
