new door locks on 95

a while a go i got some 98 doors, put them on and all was kosher, but ive been missing my electric locks. its a bit of a pain for unlock everydoor when i get a full car. this isnt a nessity to get working but would be a huge comfort. i have a 95 fsm and the 99 for the site. the wiring for the windows(electric) was easy, match color, and solder together. tried that with the locks and nothign. according to the diagrams they "should" be the same wiring for unlock: PK/VT and lock:OR/VT. thats at the drivers switch. i guess what im asking is if some one has some free time and would look over the two 99 and 95 FSM wiring diagrams and could lend some insite..

I have absolutely no idea what is going on when it come to wiring.  So sorry I can't help.  I am sure that someone on here will though.

This may be stating the obvious but, have you checked for power at the infamous Driver Door Module ? For example, the main wire feeding power to the DDM, for the Door Locks, looks like a fused Red Wire at pin location 5. The fuse for that circuit is 15A. If that is OK, then if you activate the Door Lock switch do you get power at either the OR/VT or the PK/VT wire ?

The DDM especially for the power windows is infamous for having solder shorts.

If you have the overhead module, then there are 2 wires DB/PK and LB/RD that have to do with the Lock and Unlock function.

On the 95 the fuse 16 (20A) in the Power Distribution Center feeds a RD/BK wire that in turn feeds a 10A fuse and then a PK (Pink ?) wire to a junction that feeds the Drivers Door Lock switch. The wire from the junction to the Door Lock is DR/WT. The Door Lock is where the wires split into the OR/VT and PK/VT. At that point those two wires feed into the Door Lock relay center. One relay for Lock and one for Unlock.

So off-hand it looks as if there are some differences between the two and it make take quite a bit more investigation to retrofit one to the other. The 95 seems to be have more components than does the 99 (relays etc.). Maybe someone here already has more experience with it.
