Tomken 8" longarm MJ lift

I see some here are building up MJ pickups....Ahem...Adam.  Just saw this on Tomken's website and didn't know if you knew about it.

I went back to Tomken's site and couldn't find the lift kit listed anywhere.  They do show an MJ with it in their picture gallery though.  Maybe it's just an XJ longarm kit.

RE: Tomken 8" longarm MJ lift

Yeah they posted on ComancheClub last week. It's just thier XJ longarm kit with a SOA and an AAL in the rear. 8" is in my opinion to much lift unless your running like 38's. I'm actually not happy how high I sit with mine running the 35's and would really like to drop it down a bit (I may still a bit).

I really havn't been inpressed with the Tomken suspension stuff. But to each thier own I guess.

I have my suspension on the MJ dialed in pritty dang well I think. I may go longarms in the future, but it will be part of a full width axle swap. I dont' want to spend the $$ now to do it and than have to change it all down the road when I go fullwidth.

They also released a rear MJ bumper and sliders as well. Both of them are WAY over priced if you ask me.

Rear bumper is like $525 and has NO d-ring tabs or hitch built in.

Sliders are like $340, and offer no pinch seam bolt-on (only 2 arm mounts) and once again in my opinion over-priced.

They will probally sell as thier is not a lot of "bolt-on" stuff for the MJ on the market. I just can't see spending that kind of $$ on those things though...

I agree with your statement about over priced stuff. Some of their parts are not to bad price wise, but some is WAY over priced.

I've been happy with Tomken's rear bumper/endcaps I'm running, other than the paint on the endcaps. The metal was not cleaned well enough before they powdercoated them. I'm going to have to sandblast them, and repaint.

BTW, how much lift are you running on your MJ?

6.5" front coils and SOA in the rear using stock 4WD MJ Leafs.

I'd say it's pritty much right at 6.5"-7", running 35's.

To give you an idea, here is Bob's MJ (running a 5.5" Rubicon lift w/33's) beside my MJ.
