Royal Purple Synchromax in the TC

Anyone running this in their TC? I am currently running Mobil1 ATF in it. Is there any real advantage with Royal Purple over the Mobil 1?  Royal Purple recommends it for transfer cases.

I'm having to have the TC rebuilt...long story... and I want to make sure I have the best fluid in it. BTW, the reason for the rebuild has nothing to do with what fluid has been in it.

If it were me:

Cost wise id just stay with mobil 1. To be honest, ive never heard anything about the Royal Purple ATF. I heard of their engine oil but never knew anyone thats run it. For something like a TC which is basically gears and chains, id just go with Mobil 1. But thats me...

I think that in the latest Crawl Mag. (gotten for free by being a supporting member) they did a whole special on swaping all the fluids in the vehicle.  They used nothing but Royal Purple in everything.  If I recall (I am not at my house and can't look at the mag to make sure) they stated that the only time that you would notice the difference in the TC fluid was in a vehicle with all the time AWD.  They said that in these vehicles are a lot harder on the TC fluid because the TC is being used all the time.  In these vehicles that are harder on the TC there was little change in the fluid, where as if you were using normal fluid it would be dark and seem almost burned.

So what I got from that was that the Royal Purple is the PREFERED and will do the best.  But for a TC like ours that is very rarily ever activated you would prolly never notice a difference either way.

/\x2, but I'd recommend Amsoil for synthetics, but for my part time tcase, I'm fine using traditional lubricants.

I've used Redline syn products on my YJ and Ram, guess they worked fine.

Currently using Amsoil in engine.
