She's for sale. Dun dun dunnnnnn. Asking $2500, as I've put in a lot of sweat labor and little things. She's completely leak free and quite reliable. Willing to trade, let me know what you have.
175,000 miles d30 front C 8.25 rear 4 door - tan interior runs great, shifts great
I bought her back in November and LOVE her! However, I don't love her enough to deal with gas prices. I get around 16-17 mpg with all city driving. This car has seen almost ALL highway miles. The previous owner never took it offroad, and I only took it offroad once. I just changed the oil and she's ready for her next roadtrip or offroad trip. She does not leak (gasp!) and it makes me proud to park in my driveway and not worry about spotting.
What I've replaced or added: -New pads and rotors up front -valve cover gaskets -rear main seal (ugh!) -oil pan gasket -oil filter adaptor o-rings -sway bar end links -heavy duty matching rubber floormats -new bright fog lamps (not installed, come with Jeep) -pro comp steering damper -rear driveshaft output seal -transfer case extension housing, complete with bearing. -greased all tie rods and the front DS -new fuel filter -new plugs, properly gapped -new cap and rotor
Problems:
Driver rear quarter has a quarter sized rust hole. Also, the bottoms of the doors are bubbling under the paint from rust. I have no idea if that means that it's surface rust only, but it's not bad at all. I've been under this Jeep a lot and it looks REALLY clean. It will need new leafs at some point, as these are sagging. I took her offroad at Haspin Acres and she did just fine, albeit a bit bouncy.
Speaking of which, while at Haspin I bumped a tree, denting the pass fender, breaking the pass blinker lens (bulb still blinks), and bending the header panel (light beams to the right now.) I'm perusing junk yards right now for a fender and header panel, and if I can find them it'll be included.
For now, I've decided to keep her. But goddamnit I'm tired of her leaking! I really don't want to drop that oil pan again, but it looks like I've gotta do the RMS again. That's enough to make me want to get rid of her.
I guess I'll have to have a wrenching party or something, cause there's no way I will disconnect the suspension just to drop the pan again.
