JKS rear shock crossmember

When I purchased my XJ, the previous onwer welded the rear shocks to a set of home made extensions ( a bolt, stacked washers, two nuts, and welding slag). Over time I broke this hack job. So this is my fix.

The JKS crossmember is well built, adjustable, and fit perfectly.
Very simple to install. Most of the work is in the time it takes to drill out old mounts. ( If your mounts are still intact you can use them as opposed to what I had to do) I posted pics as project progressed.

Sorry no action shots, Kinda hard to hold camara and work at same time.hmm

Now I understand what you were saying. Glad the JKS unit we recomended worked out for ya. Shouldn't ever run into any upper mounting problems with shocks now! biggrin

So the question is, can you tell the difference?  Is the ride quality any better?

Yes the ride is much better. I did however install this allong with a new suspensoin. So how this effected the ride by itself, don't know.

I can say having adjustabilty of shock angle will give me something to kinda tune the rear. Than I'll see what differance it makes.
