Need your opinion

So i got my hood vents in the mail yesterday(thanks polar_jeep_04) and they came black but I undecided if i want to keep the vents flat black, paint them gloss black, or color match red to my jeep?

there are the vents as you see they are flat black either way i plan on sanding them down priming then painting im just unsure what color i want to paint them

there is an older picture of my jeep its the only picture i have that you can see the whole jeep

so please vote in the pole and feel free to leave comments on what you think

thanks

If it were me, I'd paint them to match the Jeep. IMO black would be to much of a contrast.

I just like the color black. I think that you have a black bumper now don't you, so it would match that...

its really only just a brush guard that i hve on my bumper right now so i still have the tan bumper and tan trim all around the jeep, personally im leaning towards the red but i think im going to photoshop it tommorrow to see what one looks about right

I'm going to put another vote in for black.

HOWEVER I'm not going to say Gloss Black or Flat Black.

I've used Rustoleum SEMI-GLOSS with great results and it matches the factory black paint almost perfectly. Everything painted black on our rigs (wife's XJ, my XJ, and my MJ) is all the Semi-Gloss black.

maybe i just need to grow a set cut the holes and if i dont like the color just mask off and repaint

The more that I think about it I would try to match whatever black you have on your bumpers etc.  So if you have gloss black bumper the do that for the vents.

If it was mine I would color match to the color along the bottom. It would pull them into the Jeep color scheme very nicely. Using an existing accent color in other locations usually always works well just because you know it already looks good. You could go with the black but I think using the existing color at the bottom would be nicest since it is part of the jeep body, the other items are being put "on" the Jeep, I would think you want the vents to be part of the body.
