Waterproof seat and/or covers

Well since I have a little more "openness" now been debating about getting either new waterproof seats or maybe just covers.  Now are covers actual waterproof like advertised, or just are they actually resistant to a point.  For the most part the jeep will be parked in the garage, and or the top will be on, but just thinking when the mud starts to fly or it starts to rain out, that it would be nice to have some waterproof seats.  I have seen a few on ebay, which again is ebay so I am always a bit skeptical.  I believe the brands like Wet Oakley, or a Neoprene style is what I need, though a bit pricey.  Just looking at all my options right now - no immediate rush yet.

I have some covers that are washable, I don't think that they are waterproof though.  They are fake leather on the front, and def. not water proof on the back.

Just a thought, are TY, CJ, YJ seats close to XJ ones?   They make waterproof covers for those don't they.  You could just use one designed for them on yours if they are close.
