Creaking noise from rear	Permalink

I developed a creaking noise from the rear somewhere. I have lubed the springs, the shackle bolts and it is still there. I noticed this evening that it does not make the noise unless I have my foot on the brakes. Could it be the brake shoes are creaking on something? Little ripples, or bumps are what make it start the noise. On a smooth road coming to a stop it make no noise. Could it be your exhaust hitting your shackle? Mine makes noises.
