Trail Clean up days

Starting this topic to see if anyone knows of any organized or unorganized "trail clean up days" that we could get involved with as a club.  I am pritty sure that most places have them, just don't know anything about them.  If anyone knows of any, please post them up here.

I think that it would be a great way to give back to these places, and maybe get us some exclusive access.biggrin

I miss the days that they made toys that could kill a kid.

[QUOTE=Trail_Fanatic;1492514]Thanks MB!
Nice to know it's actually working, eh?
A little FYI, our adoption area DID look JUST like those pictures (and WORSE) before we started to clean them 11 years ago.

Always the 3rd Saturday in April (Usually the closest Saturday to Earth Day).

This year it falls on April 18th.
Registration from 8-9:00 am.

Also, this year we're making changes to the registration process to speed it up.

GLFWDA has also been kind enough to schedule their Quarterly Meeting for Sunday the 19th in Silver Lake so that their membership will have all the more reason to help with the Clean Up, and also the participants can also more easily attend the GLFWDA Meeting.

See you there (hopefully at both)!

I think it says that it is in Silver Lake, but don't quote me on that.

The Tail Clean up Starts in Twin Lakes Mich. I was going to go, but have to work on jeeps this weekend for the next weekend.

They do have a clean up at Sliver Lakes Sand Dunes. But I don't remember when. I did go to that last year, only took about 3 hrs and done. Than ran the dunes.

...we should tell our senators and congress men about our clean up efforts, so the land they categorize as 'wilderness' is accessible to Jeep/ATV/ORVs as well as the usual hikers.

Thus far I think they're trying to close down federal land to us. I'm not trying to politicise this, I'm trying to raise awareness so more people write their government to allow responsible ORV owners on federally owned 'wilderness'
