I'm assuming they're sold in quantities of four (although shopping cart indicates '1').

I don't think one shock absorber would cost $169 lol.

Just something to consider... maybe making a note of that on the website would prevent any confusion. :)

Every item I looked at says this; "Sold as a set of 4 shocks."

Don't know how you could be any more clear...
