swaybar end link... either grab one at a pick-a-part for some pocket change, or I think Napa carries them for about $45 if you want new. I'd suggest new bushings as well, and for the other side while you're at it.


I love pb blaster for 'pre-treating' rusty bolts and stuff. I got a gallon of the stuff for $25 but it doesn't pour well.. I'd spring for a little hand pump or a drill driven pump to transfer the stuff to a spray bottle.

You could upgrade to quick disconnects (aka discos) if you trail ride.

Upon further inspection the other side is busted, too.

I was just wondering if there were beefed up aftermarket ones.

EDIT: Where did you get that much PB from, I have a spray can of it...

I would sugest getting discos instead of replacing the broken part.   Do you have a rear swaybar on?   If you don't, that means that you have been running around with no sway bar!! Not good.   Some do it, but be careful that is for sure.

If it were me, I would just buy some quick disco's from Motion Offroad.  That is the setup that I am running on my XJ.  They are a fraction of the cost of other setups.  They will take a little longer to get on and off, but not much.  They are def. the best value on the market.

PB Blasting didn't work.

Bolts will NOT come loose.

your probably gonna have to soak them for a few days. or if you have access to a torch you can put some heat on them.

Which bolt are you having problems with?   I know for the ones that have the Torx head on them, I had to drill them out.  I just drilled on the side that the torx head until they popped off.  Didn't take to much time.

Torx and the one on top. Seeing as the link snapped when I turn the top bolt it just spins. Can't turn any of the bolts!

I got some 'bolt outs' from sears and they worked well on the fuel tank skid bolt that's not only rounded off, but fricken stuck in there really bad.

A propane torch helps, and they're pretty cheap. I got a heavy duty piezo ignition (push a button and whoosh!!!! like a little flame thrower) on ebay for $35 or so. It cost a little more but has no issues with propane or the hotter burning mapp gas.

I haven't run mapp in it yet, but I think I could braze with it so long as the surface metal isn't very thin.

You could always use a sawzall or a blue tiped wrench. Also you can buy pressureised spray botttles made by sure shot. You remove a cap and our in any liquid and pressurise with shop air. I use mine for brake clean and once in a while as a flam thrower...lol.
