Shocks for BB

I just got a great deal on a budget boost off another forum and my shocks are the stock shocks from '95 so those will need to be replaced.  My question is what shocks can i put on that wont break the bank.  I've hear TJ and YJ shocks are a little longer and would work fine but a buddy of mine just lifted his JK and said i could have his shocks the question is would the JK shocks work and if not what other take-off shocks would work.

Ive been looking around ebay for awhile and found take-offs of TJ's and YJ's going for 20$ for 4

How high is your lift going to take you?

I've got an old set of Clayton's shocks for 3.5" of lift you can have for free if you pay shipping cost.

They don't look the best, and the stickers are pealing off but they'd get the job done.

When it comes time to upgrade, check out motion offroad. They offer free shocks with a lift kit. I'm in the market for a 3" lift at the moment, and am matching prices. It's kind of a pain but a Rubicon Express 3" with leaf packs the best I have is $600 shipped (no shocks).

edit: yea it pays to shop around and email price quotes from place to place, and be a member of different sites since advertisers often offer members a percentage discount.
