Got the SYE now what???

I am going to install this one Friday. I haven't done one but I have taken NP 242 and 231's apart to replace chains/gears ect. I really don't know what to expect. Any pointers or helpful advise? I also heard that you can put in an unmodified XJ front shaft on an SYE rear and it not only fits but pretty much looks like its supposed to be there. Any insite on that statement? I am trying not to have to spend $300 on a new shaft so ideas are always welcome. Thanks.

Yes you can use an XJ front d-shaft out of an AW4 equipped XJ and it will essentially "bolt-in". This is only valid for about upto 4" of lift however.

This is a common thing around our shop.
