up for sale is a slightly used trac-loc lsd for a 8.25 29 spline axle. it has about 10k miles on it and work fine. i dont own anything that this can go it, so it just sits around.

$180obo. i will split shipping with buyer since it weighs 40lbs or can meet somewhere for pick up

I am not really clear on what LSD is.  I know what it stands for but does it basically lock the rear end?  I am axle retarded...  Thanks

Limits the slip. When the traction slips on one wheel, it locks the axle and puts the power to both wheels. Once the tension drops it releases and both are independent again. It's the ideal medium between locked (can't steer well without hopping) and open (one tire spins other does nothing). You WANT this if you have an 8.25.

Where are you located?  Am I correct if you say no gears does that mean no pinion, ring gear, OR spider gears?
