Will it work? There's one in the local pick-a-part, so if these are longer than the front XJ shafts or front ZJ shafts, then I'd like it (supposedly the ZJ shaft leaves only about an inch of extension with the dana 35) Thanks! -Matt

I have a stock XJ front in my rear and have no problems with the SYE. I have about 1 inch of drop left in the slip yoke which is more than enough because when do you really ever have BOTH rear tires off the ground at the same time on the trail.(!) I went out wheeling this past wekend and I got some really good flex shots. In my opinion you do not want too much travel because then while you get more down on the slip yoke you will loose up and then you start breaking things like the transfercase.

We used an XJ 4.0L AW4 equipped front shaft on Rebecca's XJ. She's running a full SYE (HD version; not a H&T) on a NP231. We've used this setup on the RE3.5" with both a C8.25" and now with the D44 without issues.
