brake lines on the comanche

rusty brake lines finally gave out. it has 2 brake lines going all the way back. one of them going to the weight/ hight thing that was connected to the diff.(not sure what its called exactly). But i was wondering if you can bypass this by just running one brake line back and caping the other line up front at the proportioning valve?

Yes you can do that. Or you can use an XJ prop. valve under the hood instead.

What I did was remove the rear height valve and simply "t" the system together in the rear so I kept the safety line still functional. Not that I'd ever loose front brakes but if I did on the trail theory says I'll still have rear brakes.

If you look close in this pic you can see the new "t" going to the softline.

both of the lines were bad so i just ran one to save on brake line. i just didnt know if blocking off the other line that ran back would effect how much the rears were actually braking.
