I am in the market for new leaf springs. Any recommendations would be great! I currently have the 4.5" Rusty's leaf spring, but need to replace them for various reasons. I am looking to go a little bigger, maybe a 5" or a 5.5". I have read so many forums and reviews, but I need more from the xj crowd. I have been researching the Rubicon Express and the BDS springs, but I am open to any suggestions. Thanks.
RE leaves are impressive. Get a longer shackle than stock too if you haven't already done so. Shackle relocation boxes are also a great thing and give more upness.
x2 on the Shackle. If you get a 4.5" leaf and extended shackles your XJ will flex better and ride better than if you went with a 5.5" Leaf. I am right around 5.5" and I have a 3.5" leafs with an extended shackle.
The last time that I bought leafs I bought these. They were put on THIS XJ (you can see the after shots). That XJ has 31's on it to give you an idea.
I don't think that you will go wrong by getting Rubicon Express. I have always heard good things about them. Motion Offroad gave us an awesome deal on those springs because we were building that Jeep for my friend while he was in Iraq. He just recently sold the XJ, but they performed awesome. The ride quality was much better with them, but they replaced some 3" AAL's...

I miss the days that they made toys that could kill a kid.
I knew they had been bought out, but was unaware that the springs were made in India. What springs do you run? Do you know which springs are still manufactured in the states? I like to support our country when possible.
Thanks! I am going to look into Motion Offroad and see what they have to offer. I appreciate the input. I look forward to wheeling with you guys someday.

YAY! I'm not alone!
On topic... Eaton Detroit Spring can build you most anything, and if the MOR leafs are made here in the USA and offer a good ride with your setup, I'd run them. BDS is based in Coldwater, Michigan if I'm correct, and all of their products (to my knowledge, I spoke with an engineer for them at a different Jeep site) are made here in the good ol USA.
So... instead of the "American Option" you have "American Options". Nice.
