Well Joe decided to rip his bumper to shreds, so I'm gonna fab a new one up for him.
Here is the design, what do ya think? D-ring tabs tie-into the mounting points, it also will have a thick peice on each sides at the end for a bit of added rocker protection. The top will be raised about a 1/2 inch so thier isn't a big ugly gab between the bumper and the rear hatch. The bumper itself will be made from 5"x2"x3/16" steel. Should be pritty beefy!
Well I guess I could fab up a few of them at once. I don't know though Dan if your MJ has the same bumper mounts as the XJ or not. I'm thinking that they are definatly different...
No 2" reciever, going by Joe's request. It has 2 D-ring tabs on it, so unless he has plans on pulling a trailer they really arn't needed.

Yeah I think your right.

I would put one on even if you don't think you will use it. It's a good thing to have on there. You could add a cargo rack, bike rack, multi-mount winch, etc. I don't know, I think I would put one on if I was going to fab something up. Different strokes, I guess.

well there is allready a stock old school small hitch class 2 type on my truck and i donte think the new bumper will get in the way so it will stay unless i have to remove it ....one thing i learned..if ppl know you have a trailer hitch they always want you to pull stuff for them ...so thats getting old cuzthey never pull stuff for me

I have a hidden hitch class III on the back of mine. The way I get out of towing is by not having a light kit installed. Can't tow if it's not legal, sorry.
