I've made a set of front bumpstops out of hockey pucks. Three per side. The question I have is this;
I drilled a hole thru them, and plan to use a 4"- 3/8-16 bolt to mount them with. I had no way to counterbore the top to recess the bolt head. Will the bolt head cause any problems? The upper snubber will contact it at times. I cannot find a 3/8" buttonhead 4" long, or I would use that. I suppose I could grind the head around the edge, and round it off some.
The majority of guys just use a bolt and a large flat washer. I wouldn't worry about the bolt head, and I definatly wouldn't round it out, you'll never get it off again. Heck most guys just glue them.
Another thing that is coming more common is taking a rubber mallet, cutting it in half (or desired length) and using that. That way you don't have 3 (or however many) hockey bucks. Just another thought.
3 hockey pucks on each side in the front used liguid nails to put them in no problems, made spacers for the stock rear stops from box tubing works great.

Exactly what I did, only I used Gorilla Glue. Also my plans for the rear. What size tubing did you use? 3/4", or 1"?
