Tie-Rod Kit

So I bent my tie-rod this past weekend. Looking for a good beefy replacement. Who's got the best one for the $ ??

Currie's got the full steering system (drag link, mounts, and tie-rod) and I get get it for around $360 shipped.

JCR has the 1-ton system for $295+ship but needs to be modified to fit in the XJ.

Rusty's got the full system for $240+ship.

JCR has the factory upgrade for $159+ship.

Rusty's has the factory upgrade for $99+ship.

Rubicon has the factory upgrade for $159 shipped from Jason @ Jeepin.

I'd really like to have the currie system, but really don't have the $$ to blow on it. Any others that are worth looking into?

I hear you can use the V8 GC (ZJ) one aswell. Someone told me Napa sells the factory replacment. Jeff can you get me a price on it?!?

you can run wj(maybe zj...) stuff but will have to modify your sway bar mounts.  the wj stuff is a crossover style, so it will eliminate bump steer caused by the "y" design of the xj.  the solid tie rod though interfers with the axle bracket of the sway bar.  I've tried this already.  if you don't mind running without a swaybar it'll be fine, or you can make some new brackets that won;t interfer.  you will need a new passenger kuckle, tie rod, drag link.  that should be about it.  its not HD stuff but it is better than xj stuff.  might be easier to upgrade too...

i've been happy with my currie setup for the last 2 years.  i have landed on the tie rod and supported the front end of the jeep many times, and it has not bent yet
