I am thinking of buying a CB and think I am going to go with one of the cb antenna mounts that attach between the fender and the hood. After installing the mount and a 6" spring that leaves me 2' to clear the garage door. Should I stick with a 2' antenna or will a 3' antenna flex enough to pull into and out of the garage?
Also, do any of you know if there is a better aftermarket antenna for the AM/FM radio stations? I always lose the ones I listen to on the way home from work in Worthington.
Idealy you should have 12 to 18 inches of the antenna above the top of the jeep or in your case the rack. 01xj and I are having troubles tuning his antenna ,I think it 2 things on his 1 being the antenna is to short to make a groundplan, secondly the homefab mount (Marc build a nice mount) is not grounding properly.

Jeff, if I have that much antenna above the rack, will it flex enough to let me pull into and out of the garage?
Probably flex enought ,but continousely doing it will probably ruin the antenna, Marc is taking his off and putting it on when he needs it ,his wont clear the garage either.

Yep Marc says Adam and I have towers on our Jeeps, but mine is very tunable and talks very well. And I like it when I go through the drive thru somepalce and the antenna rubs. LOL
The quick connect is a good option. You guys and your garages.
