Hi-Lift stowage solution

Another busy weekend.
I have searched high and low to find a solution to storing my Hi-Lift inside the XJ.
I saw some people tie them to the factory rivited loops. let's hope they never get in a accident.
I wanted a way to not show it off in a parking lot, Secure it in case of the unexpected, and offer some good solid tie down points. All this without giving up too much cargo room.
Well, after some cutting, fitting, cutting again, I welded this together, and installed it this weekend.

So, What do you think?

Awsome! Now put a hinged peice of wood down (carpeted) on top of it all for some storage.

i know the rivited loops look pretty weak, but they are stronger than they look.  For a while I tied down my 33" spare tire to those.  Which included ending up on my side a few times.....and the tire never budged.

I have to agree, very nice idea / job. that looks like the best of a few worlds, now your hilift wont be all rusty/muddy when you need it!

That is awesome! I keep my 35" spare right there tho. I tie my hi-lift down with nearly a dozen tie downs to multiple areas including the spare itself.

my hi-lift fit great under the rear seat , never gets rusty there, out of the way, cant get loose in an accident, and easy access when you need it.
