Well I raised the front end up to level the Jeep out. I am now sitting at 4". I have adjusted the stock LCA's all the way forward to help with apparent castor problems. That worked great until I went up another 1 1/4", now it feels like it wants to wander some again. Castor problem I assume, the axle is only out of center by 1/8". From a chart I have I need arms about 5/8" longer than stock.
So I am looking at Rusty's adjustable LCA's. A few questions I have are, are ALL adj. LCA's noisy? Do they all clank, and rattle? Would appreciate opinions from you guys that run Rusty's adj. LCA's. Do you recommend getting the locking nuts he sells?
NO RUSTYS!!! I've trashed a set of them personally and they SUCK! Save up the few extra buck$ and get some JKS or something better.
That being said, I've won't say anything more about rusty's POS ALCA's.
Adam, don't hold back. Tell me what you REALLY think.
I'm not set on Rusty's just yet, I'm looking at RE's and a couple of others too. I would consider going with a set of fixed length arms IF they are around 16" in length.
I hear people complain about Rusty's being "noisy". I know the set of mine were, but not sure if thats because they suck, or because the weld was breaking... (I'll let you guess).
I am running a set of RE fixed right now and am happy with them sitting at about 5" of lift in the front. When I get back into town I'll go out and measure them for you from center to center to let you know what they are at....
