I have a 93 Dodge caravan that needs a tranny speed sensor & new battery, otherwise it's in good shape. I'll sell it to you for $300, I have it listed locally for $800 OBO.

The sensor is right on top of the tranny & sends information to/from the computer/tranny telling it what speed you're going & if it should up/down shift or not. This "transaxle" is completely electronic (I'm told) & doesn't rely on solenoids - just these sensors.

The previous owner (wife's grandfather) had changed the tranny "brain" & other sensor on the tranny, but got a new Kia car & didn't care about this van anymore & gave it to my wife. (We just got her a full-size van & now we don't need it either)

If you unplug the battery & let it sit overnight it'll shift & run excellent for a while. After a few hours/days of driving it, it'll start to get confused from getting the wrong signal from the sensor & it'll stop shifting right. I was told that Autozone didn't carry the sensor (by the idiot at the parts counter) but you should be able to get one from any junkyard because there is about three-friggin-million Dodge Caravans in every one.

I dont have pics, but it's a red 93 minivan (Dodge Grand Caravan) with tinted windows. I'll take some pics this weekend & email them monday if you're interested.

It looks exactly like this one I just found a pic of on Ebay:
