I have searched and read most of the threads about exhaust systems on other forums, and come away confused.
I want a system that DOES NOT sound stock, but I am 49+ and my boy racer days are long gone. But I also DON'T want to wake up the neighborhood everytime I drive away either.
I've read "get the Dynomax" but then read it isn't much different than stock. I read the FlowMaster 40 is TOO loud, get the 50 series. Then read get the 70 series, etc....
I'm looking at Rusty's catback with the 50 series, just how loud is the 50 series muffler. Is it too loud for a DD? Will it melt the carpet like I've read?
There was a guy with a NICE TJ down at Haspin the day I was there with a Gibson system on it. THAT is the sound I'm looking for, but don't want to spend that much money.
