Here is a picture of the Warrior bumper on mine. Only dislike is the mounting brackets could have been made of thicker material. They are sandwiched between the frame rails and the tow hook brackets. Seeing as my XJ is mostly a DD it works fine for me.
Do you think the bumper itself will take some abuse? If I added some better mounting brackets do you think I won't bend it to heck? I think I may just add the tow hook brackets like you have that way I am not worried about bending it with a front pull.
Reason I ask, I tweaked my front bumper and need a replacement and need to spend the $$ on suspension stuff over the bumper I REALLY want. at the moment.

The bumper itself is fairly stout, at least IMO. It isn't 1/4" plate steel, and a winch mount is TOTALLY out of the question. I suppose it would take some hits, the mounting brackets are the weak link. The one thing about it I liked is it comes around the corner of the front fender, and protects it. I could see getting stuck, and someone yanking up on the unsupported fender, and bending the crap out of it. THAT would be like handing me a signed death warrant!!!!!
I suppose if you didn't care about repainting it, you could scab a plate to the brackets, and run gussets to the inside of the bumper to stiffen it up. As I said on JF, mine was just inside a cardboard box, no plastic wrap/styrofoam nothing. It had some decent scratches on it, so I sanded it, and repainted mine.
As I've said it is heavy duty enough for me, and how I use my Jeep. All in all a heck of a deal for the price.
Well I just ordered it. I found some discount codes online and got it for around $150 shipped to the door from Telco4x4. I plan on beefing it up a bit with the mounting, and maybe adding a stinger to it.
From your last post I assume it comes painted? I guess I'll be blasting it to bare metal before I beef it up than...
I like the lines of it a lot, so even if I have to beef it up I think I'll be under $200 total.

Will do Kim. I plan on adding to the mounts to extend them back further to tie into the other 3 holes. I also plan on running a truss between the 2 mounts along the front inside of the bumper (kinda like you did with your tow hooks to tie them in together).
I also may add a stinger/guard as well. We'll see...
That thing looks scary, especially with recovery and just plain armor. You might want to completely remove those mounts and use some 1/4 plate for the mount and use like around 6 bolts per side for the mounts.
I mounted mine like this

The plan Nate is to basically make a mounting system somewhat like the Ridgco bumpers have, the use this as the "skin" around it for the bumper. I plan on making mounts like the drawing on the tech page mounts, than tieing those mounts together. Use this bumper than as a skin around it. (hope that makes sense)

Scary? It all plans what you plan to do with your Jeep. In other words, how hardcore you are. Like I said down at Haspin this summer, "hey guys, I HAVE to drive this to work Monday".
As far as recovery, I have d-rings for that, and I don't plan on mounting a winch. So the bumper is fine for me. Personally I would like the bumper to bend, or tweek, and NOT tranfer it to my frame.
Adam, where did you get the pictures? Appears you've already GOT the bumper.
