And than we finally decided to head home. That itself proved to be a task with all the damage done to my XJ the day before. Had to gimp it home in 3rd gear most of the way, but we made it and had a great weekend.
Looks like you all had some fun. I was pooped as I didn't get off work until almost midnight on Friday, and had worked some 12 hour shifts during the week.
BTW Adam..... broken parts????? I didn't think anything but Rusty's parts broke?
Looks like you're finding the weak links in your setup, and I guess that can be a good thing. Mo money, mo money! Glad you made it home...eventually.... as I'm sure that's a long haul from home to Attica.

Hey now, they were the factory OE parts. I've got lucky and they had a set of Yukon's at the store, so I replaced them with those. Hopefully I won't be breaking those! Got lucky and had an output shaft from a 242 and it just happened to work and got me home. Need to find another 231 output shaft and swap back in and I'll be good to go. I was really suppried that everything else held up and I broke the parts I did in the setup....

You got lucky with finding the parts to get you home. Like I said, with the stroker motor, and running 35's you found your weak links. Poor little Dana 30. And you want to supercharge it?
You looked to be stuck in some of that soft sand in one of the pictures. I buried my quad in it a few weeks ago. I had nothing to hook my winch to to pull me out. It took 3 people to lift it out of that stuff.
Being on a quad, I wasn't able to go to the trucks only section, but IMO Badlands beats Haspin any day.

Yeah I did get lucky finding parts. Luckly someone brought a spare rear shaft I was able to steal the output shaft off of.
Yeah I got stuck pritty bad in the sand. That was after I was broke and we were trying to get me back to camp. Sucked big time only having a front driveshaft; every time I'd give it any gas I'd just dig myself in. We tried to pull me out with Bob's MJ (locked front and rear) and still couldnt' do it. So luckly a buggy came by an offered to pull me to solid ground.
As for the Dana 30, i've got a front D44 waiting to be built up and go in. I still can't belive that the week link was the driveshaft though!
I had a great time. I was really glad to see some other ladies come along ! It was good to make some new friends and spend time with those of you I met before.
Thanks for spending the weekend with us!!! Can't wait 'til next time!!!
