xj lift help

I have got a 91 xj that i am wanting to lift. I have also got a long arm kit that i had for my dodge. It has got the longer lower arm and a shorter upper arm. Just wondering if you guys think this would work under my xj if i put like 5-6" coils in the front? Am trying to do my lift on a budget and forgot that i had these. Any info would be great.

Thanks.
Ben

Doubtful it will work. What type of longarm setup is it? Pics would help a lot.

You may be able to make it work, but your going to have to do some fabbing and at least make new mounts. You'll need to make sure the bushing sizes are correct etc. etc. Fabbing up a longarm setup is not easy to do to keep the mounts good, and geometry on the suspension correct.

That being said, you may be better off buying a longarm kit. Thier are several on the market, and several that are a quality kit for not much more than a good set of adjustable LCA's...

buy a good used one, Rubicon Express is great for the money I've heard, and Rusty's is good too, I'm happy with my 2" from Rustys.
