well heya Kim! i got the rig about 2 months ago. i'm happy with it, it's nice having an actual lifted 4x4 instead of my "Might Mouse" (come on, the "Buzz Bomb" as you say, kept up with you guys out in my woods). Unfortunately you won't see me at all this weekend at the wheeling event, i'm unable to make it. i've got a few things i want to work on on my xj before i actually take it seriously wheelin anyway, so maybe i'll make it to the next one.
thanks for the input on the plugs guys!

I do not like champion, and never really have. I have always had great luck using the bosch platinums or even the regular bosch stuff. If you were looking for a nicer plug than that go with an accell, ngk or nippendenso. have ran all of those and am using the accells now, they work great. of course if all that turns you off go with autolites, I would sub those in a chrysler over champions any and every time. looking forwar to seeing you guys this weekend!

The Bosch Platinums burn to hot in my opionon. Regular Bosch's are ok.
You couldn't pay me to run NGK's.
I have no personal experience with the Accell's. However I wasn't happy with a set of Accell plug wires in the past so that would make me probally not run thier plugs.
I have a set of Bosch's in Rebecca's XJ, and Champions in my XJ. So that it for what it's worth...
if the plug is burning to hot, you can go to a lower range. I have messed with sparg plug heat ranges in everything from sbc to bikes on alcohol. It has been my expierance that if you get the correct plug, regardless of brand you are in the correct heat range.

I personally like AC Rapidfire plugs, smoother idle and more responsive throttle, can't really say much for performance... maybe a little mpg but I really didn't notice anything earthshaking.
otherwise just plain 'ol Champs... if you can find some made in USA still, the Champs in the amc 630 in my Javelin are made in mexico :( I'm sick of supporting outsourcing! :( :(

alright, so i wanna give the ol 4.0L a little tune up. what do you all think the best bang for the buck is on spark plugs for the 4.0L???????
I would run the Champion Truck Plugs. I have ran them in several vehicles I've had and have had no problems with them. That's what I'm running in my Jeep Comanche and it runs great with them.
i thought i'd update on this since i started this thread. i ended up putting Champ Platinums in mine then. seem to be working just fine. thanks for all the input!
