Would the ARB Safari work if you trimmed your fenders, let's say for example to fit BushWhacker Cut Out fender flares, or something of the likes?

I run the ARB with trimmed fenders.

It however will NOT work with the bushwacker unless you want to trim the bushwackers themselves. That is why the Airflow has become popular for the simple fact that it will work with them unlike the ARB one...

I'm not a fan of homebrew snorkels. But thats just me being anal....

As Josh stated, get the Airflow from DPG or JeepinOutfitters or the ARB from a number of different retailers.

Here's a homebrew kit from a XJer Down Under... http://go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoAirFilter.htm take out the howtoairfilter.htm part and there's a TON of how-to articles there.

the ABS pump/system is right on the inside of the fender well infront of the master cylinder. the snorkel goes through the fender well right where the pump would be.

i think you would have to run the ARB and relocate the washer fluid bottle, but not 100% sure on that

Airflow = Can't have ABS and does not require you to relocate your washer bottle. It will also work with the Bushwackers.

ARB = Can have ABS but does require you to relocate your washer bottle. The ARB comes with a replacement washer bottle. To run Bushwackers you do need to trim them to fit around the ARB.

Also, if you have a Dana 35 you may or may not have ABS, if you have a 8.25 you DO NOT have ABS as it was never equipped on 8.25 XJ's.

The teal Jeep they show at the bottom owned by some guy named Marcus in Aussie land is the gojeep guy, his website http://www.go.jeep-xj.info/index.htm
has tons of useful information, so I'd put it in your favorites, fyi.idea
