Ok, I changrd engine's in my 96 xj. Used my intake and all of my old stupp,with the exception of a new dist. The thing fires up,run's for 5 second's or so,then die's! Any idea's?

Just had the same problem when i changed motors in my 91. Check to make sure all your vacuum lines are connected. Thats's what my problem was. Also, if you have all of your lines connected, check your fuel pump. Also had an issue with that. It was working but not as good as a new one.

I had a problem similar to that....wasn't a jeep but a 1970 Cadillac Eldorado....faulty ignition switch...took forever to figure it out....darn that one I never should have let get away...cool car.
