WTB Flares for XJ Help!

I am a new member and a new owner or a 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport. I bought this jeep with no flares or hardware on the 4 corners so.....I need some stock flares and hardware. I have tried all the sites for aftermarket and they all use the exsiting stock flares with theres unless you use there CUT OUT flares and Im not to that stage yet with my jeep but I want to cover the tires I have now on the jeep from throwing anything on the windsheild.  Anyways if anybody can steer me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

Threw mine away sorry.  Just cut them, it's cheaper and looks better too.  Here is a link to the pics of mine when I did it.  I am going to tape mine off and paint the little lip that is left so that way there is no rust but other than that they are done.

I don't want to tell you what to do, but if you take your time and do it right it will look good.  If you rush through it, it will look like crap.

Ya I saw that in the pic.  I think that it looks a lot better, and you get about 1 inch more of clearance for free.  clap.gif

True but what about all the rain, snow and rocks that keeps landing on the windshield while driving? It just drives me nuts......

I haven't had anything hit mine yet and I have had mine off for around 5-7 thousand miles.  Maybe your tire work different then mine or something.

I think my tread is a little more aggresive maybe thats why...hell it will stop raining but I still have to use the wipers from all the water from the road covers my windshield.

Anyway I get a new windshield on Monday, I was flying down the highway and a rock hit the shield right in the midddle and spidered it right away. I have State Farm and I have 0 deductible so its getting a new one ASAP biggrin

Did you try hitting up any local junk yards.  You might not get the color that you want but if you are just going cover them with bushwackers or somethign it won't matter.

I know that killian's auto in Columbia City deals mostly with newer vehicles.  They aren't a pic and pull so just call them and they will prolly be able to tell you if they have them.  They won't let you walk in the yard but usually will pull the stuff and then you can pic up that day or the next.

There are other junk yards in the area but all of the ones in the fort that i have been too (1 month ago) they didn't have any 97-01 xj's.  that is why i suggested killians bc they won't let you in the yard so i don't know what they have.  plus they ussually only have newer cars.

I know that he was from Ft. Wayne.  You might want to PM him, I haven't seen him on here in a while.  He will get a notification in his email with a PM.
