I finally figured out why my XJ runs like complete SH1T. The No.1 cylider exhaust valve lifter is collapsed/broken. That vavle never opens. I have tried a can of seafoam in the oil as well as ATF and neither helped. So I guess I'm to the point of pulling the head and replacing the lifter(s). Any suggestions? Anyone have some lifters? Anyone know a good place to get them?
Thanks
-Nick

I actually sold that '94 about a month ago, just forgot to update the sig. I believe the lifters are under the head, not a part of it. I'll tear into this weekend most likely. A single lifter is only about 5 bucks, but I'll have to figure in the cost of a new head gasket, etc,...

wouldnt be a bad idea on mystic's part to do that, and just swap it in, then rebuild the bad engine little by little and keep as a spare, and maybe sell that if someone needed it.
