1996 XJ FSM

Hello everyone. Could someone please make available the XJ 1996 Factory Service Manual. I need the electical info for a 96 Xj. I would appreciate the 96 PCM diagram (relay/fuse diagram) as the one for 95 as well as 97 are different. Mine is a 96 Country. Thx in advance. PlayStation.

What is different about them?  What you trying to fix, or what is the problem?

Thanks for the responses.

My current project is to install ABS system as my XJ came without abs. i bought the Teves Mk iv-g abs system from a 96 accident xj that had been written off. The pump as well as the abs electronic controller are intact. problem is with the wiring. the main wiring harness is available as well as the necessary connectors. main problem is that wires to the fuse box are cut off and i will need to extend them to the fuse box to connect the 2 relays. The fuse-box layout for the 95 xj is different from the 96. indeed even the type of relays used are very different. i have confirmed that fact.

the 96 fusebox layout is closest to 97xj. But then the 97 xj uses teves mark 20 abs system and not mark iv. To start with mark 20 has only one relay for abs at the fuse box and not 2 as does mark iv. that is why i am specifically searching for the 96 fsm so that i can install the Teves Mark iv-g abs system with minimum fuss.

Issue No. 2 - which fuses at the fuse box are for the abs system?

Please note that i have studied the wiring diagrams for the 95 model but still feel inadequate to commence the project. Or is mine a mere belief that only the availability of a 96 fsm will set me free?????????weirdface

The abs on my 96 was yanked long ago by a previous owner. As the first non-abs vehicle I've owned, I have learned to keep my cool and not stomp on the brakes when it's slippery, and I swear I can stop quicker than early 'clunkity clunk' abs units. If you have a early 90s GM car, you know what I mean.

Just driving the rear wheel drive crown vic the last few days in straight ice, I have found that it is a lot more controlled and faster to pump than stomp on it.
