Which wheels should I mount on my XJ?

I'd like to get some 31" BFG A/T KOs for my Jeep (I have a 2" lift and supposedly most articulation is downward so I should be 95% ok) Just wondering which wheel would look best. I kind of like the vintage look, similar to the old 1980s XJ-ish 'vector' wheel also found on a certain orange Charger named General Lee.

Onto business now...

SERIES 186, I'd go with 15x(what'd be best to fit 31s?)

SERIES 185- same size as above, 15x(whatever is best)

OEM Jeep 'canyon' wheels or another cool looking alumanum factory wheel (there's not a lot of other styles from Jeep, and they look somewhat similar).
15x8.5 I think the size is.

I'd like a little offset to give it a wider, tougher stance. Any help in finding the ideal wheel size would be appreciated.

(removed photo as it leads nothing to the discussion at hand. If you want to post a photo of General Lee, post a photo of the car; not of Jessica. - Adam)

I like A but I would suggest an 8" wide model if available only because you know you'll have 33's at some point.

i like option D, its not like the usual black steelies, its got some flare to em....id say an 8" wide tire and about 4.5" BS would look good.

Your going to want a 15x8 wheel. Do not even mess with 7" wide rims as if you ever want to go with a 12.5" tire down the road you'll be kicking yourself for doing so with the 7" wide rims.

Your going to want an offset (backspacing) of 4.5"-3.5". The lower the number (closer to 0) the farther they will stick out. Once again if you think you'll ever run a larger tire I'd go closer to the 3.5" than the 4.5" for added clearance.

My opinion is to find a rim that's 4" to 3.75" in BS on a 15x8 rim.

I like D, probably 'cause I was considering it myself. It is different, but not too much so.

Well since "D" is winning, I figured I'd post a pic of what they look like installed on an XJ. I know it's black and your rig is white, but it gives you an idea...

And on a slightly "smaller" XJ...

Wow, I'm split now, 'd' looks wicked sweet!  Before I really liked the 'vector' rims, and yea I still think they're pretty neat...  here's the old AMC ones that I'm talking about on a 1986 XJ. General Lee and Jessica not included.
http://www.old-cars.net/cars/1986JeepCherokee-lg.jpg

Perhaps I ought to convince someone to photochop 'a' onto a pic of a mildly lifted (3-4") XJ, and compare to the black ones 'd' that Adam posted above.  For trail use, I plan on keeping the steelies since if they get dented and scratched, who cares?  I don't think anyone goes whipping along at road speeds on the trail so some old steelies and m/ts would work ok, right?

that is a picture of the 1980s stock Jeep wheels, which I like the style of, and resemble 'a'. I also wonder how easy it would be to clean dirt out of those simulated 'bead locks'. What wheels do you have? They look a lot like 'b' or 'c'
