OK just starting the my cheap lift on the Comanche Devil. Put in the T-Bird springs upfront. Netted 4" lift, today I made sway bar disco's from 2000 Grand links , this weekend I will be lifting the rear, so here is the Question. Do I re-arch the spring pack to achieve the 4" needed or make up longer shackles, or do the both? And about how much arch to net 4"? I know for a 3" lift the springs need a 5" arcs for a 4" would you go 7" or 8"arc? Don't want to do a soa because i will get 4.5-5" and thats too much. Now for tires do I go with 31" or 32"? I want some opinion I know there are only a 1" but what is the pros/cons. Need some experience opinions.

I'd build a bastard pack using stock XJ leafs. I'd use probally the main leaf (cut the ends off) and than the 3rd one down and put them in with your existing packs. Than use a lift shackle for the rear to get the rest of what you want.
Thats cheap, increases the load capacity of your existing pack, and your packs won't sag over time having 2 more leafs in them.
31's typically are 10.5" and 32's typically are 11.5" wide. I'd personally go with the 32's as I like the larger/wider tire with the lower COG. It will handle a lot better on the road/trail with a larger footprint as well.
You need to consider however what rims your going to be running. If they are factory rims the 11.5" wide tires will rub a lot more than the 10.5" wide tires.
