I have a Dana 30. It is located in Columbia City. I am not sure if it is HP though. Adam has seen it, I hate to say this because I say it everytime, but Adam can you remember?

It was running and functioning fine on a XJ when it was pulled. The XJ was stripped, motor is in MysticfireXJ's, tranny is claimed by Adam, only have front and rear axle. No clue on the year or gears.

The vac. disco has 2 shafts on the pass side and than uses the vac. disco actuator to slide a collar over the 2 shafts to connect them. The vac actuator is known to fail and you can either shim it over perminatly or yank out the 2 short shafts and simply put a 1 peice shaft in it out of a non-vac. D30. Than you just make a cover for where the vac. actuator was.
The nice thing however is that the vac. disco is a stronger housing as it's reinforced in that area.
Well went over and got pics of the axle for you. It is 3.54 gearing. Hear are the pics.
That Transmision belongs to someone on here if they would ever come and get it.
Also there is another axle there, if anyone wants it. I don't know what year of XJ they are coming out of but they were fine when they were pulled. It is 3.55 gearing.
Do you know if there is any water that has gotten into the diff? How long has it sat outside? Are all the mounts, lca's. uca's, spring perches, etc... all straight, and not rusted REAL bad?
BTW, how much does one of these things weigh? Can two people load one up on a trailer?
It sat outside but was covered untill just recently if I remember.
Yes 2 people can lift it. If myself and another guy can lift a waggy D44 front into the back of a Tahoe than I see no issues lifting a D30 onto a much lower trailer.
