I would like to see how the Africana was supported or reinforced. They took most of the front roof off and all of the back hatch. I realise that the two red bars coming down the back help, it would just be interesting to see what steps they took building it. I would also like to see how that hatch was made.
Overall awsome looking car. I love the hacked XJ's in the rear like Comanche Devil's.
Who knows, maybe some day my XJ will loose the hatch...

I miss the days that they made toys that could kill a kid.

You do know that god kills a kitten every time someone calls a Jeep a car, right?
for those of you who are now inspired to make their own: notice MJ tailgate.
for those of you with good MJ tailgates: they just doubled in value, lol.
I like that convertible top kit for XJs mentioned in JP magazine a few months ago though, seems pretty simple to install. I just don't like the idea of a full cage, so if there were a way to leave the factory roof bracing in place, but just peel the sheetmetal back and have the finished product look like it could have come from the factory, or maybe install a brace tube (a chunk of rollbar) across the Jeep at the B pillars and C pillars?

HOLLY CRAP!!!!!!! I wish I seen this page sooner I would of ditched the rear section with the solid tonnu cover and made a removable soft top like the Africana. Allthough maybe next year if I like how this Jeep works out I could do the right modifcations to repulcate this concept. Crap I wish I'd seen this sooner, I like, man do I like.

That is a neat looking one too. One thing I noticed is that the tires are awfully close to fenders. It doesn't look like there is much travel room in there.
