WTB: Chrysler 8.25" Axle - 29 Spline

I am looking for a Chrysler 8.25" Axle from a 97-01 XJ. It MUST be 29 spline and MUST be 3.55 gears.

Needs to be in good working condition so I can simply just swap it in.

I went to Economy Auto parts , found a white xj (98) for parts it might have one I didnt look at the rearend

If you go back find out of it's the Chrysler 8.25 or D35 and a price. Heck I may be intersted in both axle's if the price is right...

Also there should be a tag on it that says the gear ratio.

Don't waiste your time with Economy, just talked to them on the phone. They want $350 PLUS our axle... no thanks.

WTF somebody thinks its plated in gold or something, Well I am also going to Edgerton,OH they have this huge junk yard and i was driving looking for barn finds and went over their they have a bunch of stuff, 52 4-door chevy car, 79 f-250 highboy lifted bus, semi, abunch of stuff I am sure their is something over there, invite is still open if you want to go , I think I will venture to other junk yards Economy bought that XJ complete with a blown motor for $600 and Tony said he wanted $2200 for it I about lost it

I may call those MORONS back tomorrow and give them a piece of my mind. I will at least tell them I know what they paid for the Jeep, and they are RIPPING ME OFF!!!

Plus, I don't know if the guy really even knows what he has! I asked him for something specific and he said he had it. Then, I asked him what axles the other XJ's had under them, and suddenly he wasn't sure... WHATEVER!!! evileye.gif

Id sell you my dana 44 that i have sitting in the garage. It came out of a scout but has the adapters for the 5x4.5 bolt pattern

I have an XJ D44 sitting here already. It's susposed to be going into my MJ....

If I can' find a Chrysler 8.25 29 spline in the next week or so it'll probally find it's way into Rebecca's XJ I guess...

I found this at the junk yard today and its a 8.25 and 3.55 gears , 29 spline(just going off what i was told)the owner of the junk yard said he would take $200-250
