So I took pics of my jeep with the vents just set on there. Then I loaded the pics into photoshop with the hopes to photoshop them to the different options for painting. I started doing this and I in turn realized I'm no good with photoshop. So if any of you guys are really good with photoshop and have free time feel free to play with these pics and post it would be greatly appreciated.
I'm hoping to have the holes cut vents painted and put on by the end of August hopefully this works out
You have a black bumper / guard or whatever you want to call it on the front. You could do what I want to do which is use a spray on bed liner to coat the trim on the bottom of your XJ. If you did that and then did the Semi Gloss Rustoleum like Adam suggested it would all match pretty well I think.
same thing happened to me and that is the highest res camera we have so dont worry about it now i was thinking what would look better down the bottom black or red?
i like the looks off all red but its just a little tooo much red for my taste and im still unsure about the black im not sure what i wanna do with my jeep
Paint the outside of the vents black. And then paint everyother louver red. So the outside would be black and then the louvers red, black, red, black... Crazy, I know.

I miss the days that they made toys that could kill a kid.
Now that I see them on the hood. I would paint them red. My reasoning is simple your lower trim color. Than paint your brushguard the color of the trim.
Now heres my crazy idea. Leave the guard black, paint the vents black, remove all gold color( plastic and flares), and paint bumpers black. This is a crazy idea cause your jeep is way too clean to do so.

I kinda like the idea of painting the vents red with the outter ring black(every other vent black red is a little to flashy for my taste) i can always try something and if i dont like it i can take the vents off sand them down and repaint themm
threeEs i did think about painting the brush guard the tan color but the paint on the brush guard is so clean its like i wanna paint it but dont wanna take off the good paint thats already on there
so maybe sometime in the upcoming months maybe before it starts snowing i may paint my jeep
