Cold Air Intake Throttle Body Spacers New Fuel Filter Headers Exhaust (what's the performance diff. b/t Flowmaster and Borla btw?) K&N Air Filter (if you don't go with the Cold Air Intake system) EDIT:Remembered people talked of snorkels giving mileage boosts too...
dont forget about HHO generators. yes they do work. plain and simply, they work. some vehicles may require an EFIE controller to adjust your A/F trim (depends on if your ecm tries to fight the extra Oxygen going in or not)... about a $60-$75 purchase for a good one. i've done about 12-14 hours of extensive research and am currently testing on a 4.0L..... he's already seeing an increase of about 25% AT LEAST (hasn't burnt through a full tank of gas yet....results soon). contact me for some good free info and links if you're interested.... i'll save you some dough.

Just remember what may boost fuel mileage now may have major long term effects on your engine. Running a HHO may increase fuel economy slightly, but there is data backing it up that it has greater longterm negative effects that will probally cost you more money in the long run.
lol, no i am not selling them. just helping get the word out about them to help everyone lessen their dependency on "big oil" and to help the environment a little. it decreases your emissions quite a lot because it burns any gasoline that goes into your engine almost entirely and some of the end result from the tailpipe is water vapor.
and no, you're not running your engine on HHO, you are supplementing the gasoline. to run a typical car engine would basically require a hydrogen tank stored in your vehicle somewhere. this is splitting water through electrolysis, creating 2 parts Hydrogen gas and 1 part Oxygen gas ON DEMAND. they are not hard to build or hook up to your engine, just takes time.
keep in mind, this is not a new technology. it was actually developed 100 years ago so it's not like it's some scam tech to make people big money.
and to spark more interest, people are CONSISTENTLY getting an increase of 30%-100% in MPG. this is through the use of the generator, EFIE controller, and a PWM. oh and it's like running 130-140 octane gasoline, so you will most likely notice a difference in throttle response/power.
i'll post A LOT more info from research that i've been doing soon.

Was I correct with the HHO being the setup where your engine is running partially on water? Just so that we are all on the same page as to what we are talking about.

well yes and no. yes it is partially running on HHO.... but no it's not running on water. it's truly partially running on 2 parts Hydrogen gas and 1 part Oxygen gas. no water actually goes into your engine.
also, if i remember right, i think that it's 1 quart of water will produce 1800 GALLONS of HHO gas.
OH! i about forgot, by putting this on your vehicle, you can get a tax credit from the govt. for up to $2000!! some green energy thing that it qualifies for... i haven't done research into that yet though.

I tried acetone, not much of an improvement on my XJ... could be different on the fuel used and other variables.
first I had an exhaust, no difference, but when I opened up my airbox with a dremel, it gained 1.5mpg, but this could be in part to the exhaust since if before it couldn't inhale enough to 'use' the extra exhaust capacity, it does now. (parts 'build' on each other, this gets complicated)
I've also been told synthetics. I've always used semisyntheic valvoline in my XJ, but petrol based otherwise. I'll be moving to 3 quarts valvoline dino juice and 3 quarts valvoline synthetic next, if it's less expensive.
