Frame stiffners?

Has anyone installed or know of someone using them?
I've been thinking of getting a set from TNT. However I'm open to any suggestions or ideas to get the same results.
This will be my first major fab work on my XJ. I have also been thinking of cutting out my rusty rockers and replacing them with square stock 2 x ?.
Do you think this would do the same as a set of stiffeners.
Ultimately I'd like to do both and tie them together with 1 1/4 dom.
This is my winter project and would like to get the ball rolling so any ideas or opinions would be appreciated(sp).

Thanks.

I have no experience on the XJ, but on all of my fox body Mustangs I have installed sub-frame connectors and strut tower braces and in my opinion they are invaluable and made a huge difference. Being that the XJ's are also unibodys and are getting kind of dated by now, I would definitely think that some frame stiffeners would be a good idea. Hopefully someone will chime in with some experience with them on a jeep.

They'd be valuable especially for those who run our XJs topless (hopefully once I get an actual garage I'll be one of them)
