well finally got my rustys lift on...its 90% done, still have to do the rear shocks, track bar, brake lines and couple other misc stuff but the main stuff is done... let me say it was a big pain in the *** and dont want to do it again... nothing went smooth and its gotta sit till next weekend for me to finish it up... but i am happy with the height and just need to get some bigger tires under it now.. here some pics...
first, have to make sure we have the beer before starting a job like this...
taking the control arms off...
got the first spring out...
compressing the spring, that took forever...
finished up the front end...
the back took awhile to do, ran into problems getting the old springs out, but finally at 1 am getting the leafs in...
finally at 2:15 were able to put wheels on it and push it out of the garage
Welcome to the club of a love hate relationship with your XJ. I have that same tool set by the way, both of them. The crafstman tool set and the card board box one. haha...
Looks good. Moved the thread to Tech forum, think it is better suited here.

I miss the days that they made toys that could kill a kid.

We all have that problem of needing new tires but having no fundage. Maybe the elves can make a new set for it. Maybe Santa Motion could badger our loved ones into submission for a set. Or......... Never mind you have to be good for those things to happen. I'll just take my coal and be happy. Just make it enough to crawl my jeep over.
