A little FYI for you guys with your Comanche pickups

I was at a pick a part here in Indy today looking for a HP axle and wanted to let you know there are at least 2 MJ's there almost complete.  One longbed was pretty nice, some damage to the driverside of the bed.  The doghouse was in real nice shape.  It was an '86 I think.

Just wanted to let you guys know.smile

Did you happen to look at the rear axle of the 86 MJ?

No Andy I didn't, what are you looking for?  I plan on going back over there tomorrow to pull a HP dana 30 out of a '96 Cherokee and I could look then.smile

I am not looking for anything, but the 86 MJ's were the only ones to have AMC20's in the rear.    They are rare as I understand it and someone on here might want that axle.  They are supposed to be somewhat equivalent to a Dana 60.  I think that Adam and Rebecca's new MJ has one.  Here is a link to their MJ so you can see what it looks like.

Can do!smile  I'll take some pic's of all sides.  I assume you'll want pic's of the diff's?  Tell me if there is a particular part(s) you need pic's of.

Andy, Rebecca's new MJ?  Hum...whoda thunk it.biggrin  I kinda figured it was the AMC rear end you were talking about.

Just get some interior shots, and yes a pic of the rear diff as well. And maybe an overall shot of each side.

I could always use another MJ to truggy... biggrin

Well here's the poop on the MJ's.

While Ethan and his buddy were starting to unbolt the HP axle I went to take some pic's. The white '86 is only 2WD and did not have a AMC 20 rearend. The interior has been gone thru, the dash was torn up pretty bad, the door panels were laying on the seat. I did take a few pic's and will post them if you want to see them.

The other silver MJ I saw was missing in action, they had moved vehicles all around after I left yesterday and I could not find it. It took quite awhile to find the XJ I wanted to pull the axle out of.

Sorry if I got everyone's hopes up. I didn't look them over too well yesterday as I was looking at XJ's mostly.

Adam must run some sort of Jeep Shelter... kind of like a dog shelter, but for Jeeps. lol... how many does he have now? 4?
