Went to a pick a part today and found a HP Dana 30 in a '96 Cherokee.  I am assuming it has 3.55 gearing, though I can't be 100% sure.  It is a '96 Country with...oops HAD a 4.0L and still has the AW4 and a 231 TC in it.  It is very clean, not much rust on the axle, and all the mounts are nice and straight.  The axle u-joints appear tight, and there is no slop in the ring and pinion and the gears look great.  No signs of any abnormal wear, or really any wear for that matter.

The fact that the engine is gone will make it pretty dang easy to get the axle out of it.  The weather looks good for tomorrow so I plan on pulling it then.  Kinda hard to beat the price too, $86.00 knuckle to knuckle.
