How To: Easier Oil Filter Removal/Replace

I can do an oil change on the Jeep in about 20 minutes or so, and the most difficult thing was getting the filter down around the charcoal canister, or whatever the big black thing is.  It's hiding behind the AC lines.

Loosen this bolt a bit with a 3/8" socket.

It helped to move the washer juice tank for easier access.  I also removed the radiator puke tank, so it's missing from the pictures.

Canister at as-installed height.

Lift the canister as high as it'll go (an inch and a half or so) and retighten.

You'll still have to push different hoses and cables out of the way a little bit, but this will/should make installing oil filters easier, without totally removing the canister (OBD2 probably wouldn't approve of that).
