did the swap. Now the pedal seems to go almost to the floor. Is this a Jeep thing? It does stop but with a lot of pedel movement. This is my first Jeep so I have nothing to compare it to.
Oh and Yes to the following
Bled multiple times adjusted rear brakes bench bled MC prior to install
You need to make the pedal rod longer(from the pedal to the MC). I had this same problem. Just loosen the jam nut and turn it out till the pedal feel higher or where you like it.
yeah I may be incorrect.... that was on one of my other projects.....Your problem is that the MC for the ABS style has a very short travel thus the pedal moves only a little bit to stop. The MC for the vacuum assist has a longer travel so you need a longer rod to get the same effect. Did you use the pedal and rod from the vacuum assist car? I don't seem to reacall needing to make anything. I also used the pedal assy from the vacuum assist car as well....maybe that is where your problem is. I will check tomorrow as my buddy bought my old XJ and I can ask him to do a few measurements and I will compare to my 93 XJ which has vac assist.
