I've begun to mod my stock TC skid.  I've added a plate on the rear to protect the lower rear of the TC.


I will add another tab to the X-member end to add another mounting bolt to secure it better.  I also will be adding a piece of bar stock to the frame end to allow me to add two more mounting bolts there.  It will be machined to fit against the X-member and also be flush with the frame rail and welded to the X-member.  I'll use button head bolts to lessen the chance of catching a hex head on anything.

I've decided to go this route since the TC skid I had before was always in the way when I wanted to change TC fluid since it was a pain to get off.

 Somehow I got mud all over the bottom of the Jeep.  Don't know HOW that happened!
